Rehau Pre-Insulated Pipe

Rehau produce underground pre insulated pipe and fittings for district heating projects, where it is used to connect a single heat source to multiple buildings. They produce three types of underground pre insulated pipe called Rauvitherm, Rauthermex and PP-R. Rauvitherm is a pre-insulated PE-Xa pipe with closed cell cross linked PE foam. Rauthermex is also a pre-insulated PE-Xa pipe but uses PU foam as does PP-R.

LoCO2 Heat are a UK distributor for Rehau products, but have chosen to specialise in the supply of Rehau pre-insulated pipe, due to the much better thermal insulation properties of the PU foam. Rauthermex is sized from 25 to 160mm in size, can deliver 3MW of thermal energy and has a lambda value of 0.0216W/mK. PP-R is designed for larger projects with pipe sizes going from 160m to 450mm, can deliver 13MW of thermal energy and has a lambda value of 0.15W/mK.
